ScalingFunds, formerly known as Brickblock, was a Berlin-based FinTech startup aiming to revolutionize real estate investing through blockchain technology. The company developed a platform that allowed users to invest in tokenized real-world assets via Ethereum smart contracts – a highly ambitious vision in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological space.

I initially joined as a freelance designer during the company’s ICO, supporting the motion design team and creating the drop website and visual assets for the token launch. After the first year, I transitioned into a full-time role and took over both product and brand design responsibilities.

My role included:

• Leading the visual rebranding from Brickblock to ScalingFunds

• Designing the logo, brand identity, and establishing a scalable design system

• Creating and maintaining the public website and investor platform (UX/UI)

• Developing sales, marketing, and investor materials

• Supporting cross-functional teams with decks, infographics, and product visuals

I collaborated closely with the CTO, COO, developers, product managers, business development, and marketing teams. The fast pace of the industry – with tight deadlines, complex tech, and limited resources – taught me to prioritize, work independently, and bring structure to ambiguity.

One of my proudest contributions was the complete visual identity of ScalingFunds: a bold, clear, and professional brand that helped position the company as a serious player in a crowded blockchain market.
