Bento.de

Bento was an online magazine by SPIEGEL ONLINE, aimed at younger readers between 18 and 30. The platform covered everything from politics and pop culture to mental health and sex positivity — always with a bold, accessible tone.

For almost two years, I illustrated a weekly column about love, intimacy, dating, and emotional messiness. The stories were raw, funny, and sometimes painfully honest — and the visuals had to match. My job was to translate personal confessions into clear, striking illustrations that walked the line between cheeky and respectful.

The work was fast-paced, highly collaborative, and pushed me to develop a distinct editorial illustration style — clean, bold, and unmistakably digital.

Below is a small selection of the illustrations I created for Bento.
